Advanced Training in Therapeutic Massage, Bodywork and Aquatics

Douglas W Kinnaird, BA, NCTMB, ATRIC

has been a massage therapist and educator since 1976. He has taught in several massage schools in the Pacific Northwest and is the founder of Kinnaird Seminars for advanced training in therapeutic massage, bodywork and aquatics. He maintains an active therapy and rehab practice in Poulsbo, Washington.

Doug is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB) and Aquatic Therapy & Rehab Industry Certified (ATRIC). In addition to his Kinnaird Seminars trainings, Doug presents regularly at Aquatic Therapy & Rehab Institute (ATRI) educational events. He received ATRI's Tsunami Spirit Award for 2000 and serves as board chair for ICATRIC, the International Council for Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation Certification.

What Kinnaird Seminars is all about:

Since I began practicing massage in 1976, I have studied and trained with some of the world's foremost therapists and health educators. But a wise Native American admonition says that "knowledge is not complete until it is passed on."

In that spirit that I started Kinnaird Seminars in 1996, beginning with Neuro-Humoral Massage, my version of classical Russian massage techniques and clinical applications. Since then, I have added my Unwinding technique and a wide variety of techniques for Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation.

Skills and techniques you'll learn in our workshops are immediately useable and highly effective. More importantly, you will learn why you're doing what you're doing. That way, you can adapt your skills to new situations, as they arise.

Classes are small partly by design. Small classes mean more individual attention. Then, most of my workshops are held in smaller towns, away from large urban centers. Individualized workshops can also be designed for schools or institutional in-services. And I frequently team up with other colleagues, who offer their own specialized training.

I'm happy to teach anywhere, but know that if you're trying to make a living as a therapist, adding travel costs to workshop tuition can get expensive. So I come to you . . . and you benefit from affordable quality education.

Look at what we offer and contact us about coming to your town or facility. I look forward to meeting you.

Cordially,

Douglas W Kinnaird, NCTMB, ATRIC

Oregon Massage License No. 2958 / Washington Massage License No. MA 298
